Psychic Powers Get Closer
The BBC reports on a recent successful trial to allow a man paralysed from the neck down to control external objects using his mind. The man had a chip implanted in his brain that picked up signals, allowing him to interact with a prosthetic hand, email and a game. This is great news for people with paralysis and should lead to some interesting applications for everyone else as well. I'm thinking of a nice hot cup of coffee with milk...
A Microsoft iPod? Oh.
There are now rumours, being played down, of Microsoft releasing it's own 'iPod Killer' - a music player with built in wireless and based on the Windows platform. Somehow I don't suspect that Apple are shaking in their cute little design bootsat this point as is shown by this video.
